Settings are not being saved

hello,
every time i open soulseek i have to re-enter username/password and re-configure everything because my settings are not being saved, how can i fix that?
i am using win xp but i had the same problem in win 7

What build/version of the SoulseekQt client are you using, and have you updated to a new version recently? Did you change OS recently?

The one that was supposed to fix the problem is further down the page, in case you want to try out a newer version.
