Auto retry with Too Many Files?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to SoulSeek and I would like to know weather there's a setting which allows the client to automatically retry downloads when I'm downloading more then the other party's queue limit. Because let's say I'm downloading 200 and the other guy has it set to 100, if I leave the client on overnight it'll just dl the first 100 (often very quickly) and the whole night's wasted, you have to manually retry all the others.
Is there something I am missing? Isn't a reasonable solution is maybe have the program download one file each time without the queue system, with X% of the uploader bandwidth?

Regards, Tom.

Yeah, it's been brought up before. I've been resistant to the idea of automatically requeuing files that have been denied with "too many files" or "too many megabytes" in the past, but seeing as the restriction is in such wide use on the system now and considering that even with automatic requeuing the uploader will still have so many of the user's downloads on their queue at a time, I'm thinking it would be a significant improvement, as long as the automation isn't too aggressive. I've patched the client so that it will show the excess files as 'queued', and so will periodically requeue them until they've finished downloading. It won't be as fast as downloading without running into a file number limit, but at least you won't have to do it manually:

Let me know if it works well for you and I'll release it as a nightly build.

Thanks, Nir
