Transfer settings from PC to Mac?

Hello all,

Longtime slsker here, sorry if this has been discussed but I tried hard to find it and could not.

I just made the switch to Mac after 25 years on PC and am looking to transfer my userlist.

I tried copying over the .dat file, and while that DID surprisingly allow Soulseek to start up, and with all of my settings including the userlist, it also resulted in some UI malfunction, and an inability for me to change my Folder locations, which made it really unusable.

I then tried opening the .dat file to see if I could extract userlist but that was not readable either in text or in SQLite Browser.

So, my theory is that my next option is to try and install Soulseek NS on my PC, have it save settings as .cfg, and use that. This will be okay, except for the fact that it will not reflect any changes since I have been using QT, which is over a year at least.

So I ask, is there anything I am missing here? Perhaps if I knew the format of the .dat file, I could figure something out.

Thanks very much!
Michael

Ok, good news if anyone else has this issue:

In fact, migrating the .dat file DID work, I just had to adjust the font settings in UI options, as I guess the PC's Font settings played havoc with the Mac interface. Changed to Futura, which looks very cool I think, and all is well.

Awesome work Nir!

Thanks! Glad to hear it worked out :)
