Local Error message

I recently switched to Mac after using Soulseek on Windows for many years. I was excited to find that there was a Soulseek application for Mac and downloaded it and used it with no problems a week ago. Now, every time I use it I get a "local error" message when I try to download anything. I'm using Lion on the Mac. Is there a fix for this problem? Any help would be great.

A local error usually signifies that the client couldn't create the download file. On Mac, I would check to see that the download folder as configured under the Options->File Sharing tab is set to writable location. I would also check for a disk space problem.

i have the same problem and it only started yesterday, have plenty of disck space and rte checked download destination folder. am gutted coz i cant download but people can from me, wierd. hope it gets sorted i enjoy this program a lot.

wo ho, cant think what i had altered but set download folder again and did what all computer boffins do and switched off and on again and hey presto, we are back in business. nice one guys, keep up the good work.

Nir,

Just FYI:
I am getting a ton of local errors with this new build 3/18/13 (Win7 x64) - I have 350GB of free space on the drives (re: I've tried setting 2 download folders, on either of the drives, both give errors it's not an HDD issue) - and I also know for a fact that the users in which the local errors occur are running the NS version, while I'm on Qt. I've not had any local issues with Qt to Qt transfers.

Can you perhaps look into local error/NS-client/Qt mix possible-causes? That would be awesome. I can't wait until NS is phased out though, life will be better for us all :) Qt is the future!

Thanks,
Scarlet

resolvi criando uma nova pasta pros downloads, depois transferi as faixas que estavam na antiga pra esta nova, aqui agora funciona tudo normalmente.

Change the Download folder, i create a new folder and transfer all of my files to the new folder
and now works fine!

Tenía el mismo problema y no encontraba solución, solo cambia la carpeta para descargar. Tal vez tenga algo que ver con los permisos para escribir en el disco duro. Suerte y ojalá si alguien tiene el problema de "local error" lo solucione rápidamente. Saludos.
