Freezing with Win 8.1

Updated to Windows 8.1 because it was free, and now Slsk is freezing up. Anyone else having this issue? I also recently installed AVG PC tuneup, could this be interfering?

Yes, it's possible there is some hypersensitive firewall or AV setting blocking or lagging up SS. Can you disable AVG and test SS? Perhaps not use Tuneup even :)

Uninstalled the tuneup and still having an issue. SS will work for a short time then freezes. Also having problems streaming video to my xbox which I have been doing for years. Must be update glitches...

Yea, that doesn't sound like it's a true SS issue sorry. Are you able to roll back to Win8 or 7? Or are you content with 8.1 overall?

8.1 is absolutely horrible, seems like its trying to be a mac and make all my decisions for me. It forces you to open a microsoft Email, and sign on to your computer using that ID. 1984 is getting closer, reverting to 7 asap...
