RUSSIAN SIMBOLS / CHATS / SEARHES

Please make some fixes for russian lang.
It looks like:
[railito] "÷òî æå íàì äåëàòü ñ ïüÿíûì ìàòðîñîì?"
[railito] ûûû
..in chat room.
I must use translit? Hope no!
Thanx for time.

Unicode chat, got it. I think UTF8 should be able to handle that sort of thing no problems, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. Searches already support unicode, but both the searcher and the returner of search results have to be using the new client.

Hi Nir, my own file and folder names have been improperly scanned, as seen by browsing my own share.
When the problematic name is a folder, no files inside it show up.

The multi-byte UTF-8 characters were converted to ASCII, which means something went awry. I'm using Win 7 32bit, default English.
Let me know if there are any screenshots or logs that you think might help you.

Thank you for posting about this problem. There was indeed a bug when it came to converting the names of unicode folders if they are not shared directly which I overlooked in my own tests. I'll incorporate the fix into the next nightly build, and you can get a fixed version of the client here in the meantime.

The fixed version seems to have done the trick, but the Diagnostics/MP3 Scanning tab still showed the erroneous ASCII characters as it scanned the previously unreadable files (because they were inside a UTF-8 named folder). When I press the Rescan Shares button it says 0 new files, so I can't replicate it anymore, but maybe it was due to having the previous (ASCII-fied) names in the configuration file.

Not to create a new theme I will write here.
Here so letters of the Scandinavian languages look, and on the computer remains also with the beaten coding. In the old client with it problems weren't.
