Location of preference files and database on MAC OSX

Hello,

I recently reinstalled Mountain Lion and because I have a backup of all my files I easily recovered all my desired preferences and libraries for various applications. Unfortunately I could not do the same for Soulseek QT because I did not find any system files besides the preference file in /Library/Preferences/

I want to know where does soulseek store all it's settings and index data. Imagine that I had dozens of users and quite a long user info and all of that is gone.

This will help me immensely and every other user out there that needs to reinstall Soulseek or their OS.

Thank you very much!

The client configuration data is stored in a hidden file in your home folder named .Soulseek

Cheers, Nir

I've moved ~/.Soulseek from my old Mac to my new Mac but my preferences are empty :-(

It needs to have a timestamp in the filename. Assuming there are no other .Soulseek.* files in the home folder, you can put any number after the .Soulseek. part of the filename and it should load.

Thanks. Judging my the filename, I'd assumed it was a temporary file.

to whom it may concern,

I don't know much and am most stupid, but I'm sending my MBP away tomorrow for a makeover, and have spent the last hour looking for 'a hidden file in [my] home folder named .Soulseek', with view of backing up my everything.

either it's not there, or I'm missing the point again.

it actualy got me thinking, how do I even remember my email with which I registered my username? how do I know which build I'm using? will I be able to log in again?

I'll find out in 2 weeks.
